We are the same company that built its reputation in Norfolk as SG Carpentry & Build — the same directors, the same tradespeople, the same standard of work. The scope has grown from extensions and joinery to complete new homes and commercial contracts, and the name now reflects what we deliver.
Then: carpentry, extensions and renovations. Now: complete buildings, in-house trades, one contract from groundworks to handover.
The practice
A Norfolk construction practice that grew out of a carpentry firm — and kept the discipline that built it.
We take single responsibility for the whole of a project: pre-construction and programme, groundworks and structure, every trade on site, and the joinery and finish that the building is ultimately judged on. Clients deal with the people accountable for the work, from first site visit to handover.

The practice was founded on carpentry, and that discipline remains in-house: structural timber, roofs and dormers, staircases, bespoke joinery and fitted furniture, all executed by our own qualified craftsmen.
It is a deliberate commercial decision. The detail a client lives with for decades stays under our direct control, planned into the programme rather than left to whichever trade is available.
